You Work as a Team. Why Not Include a Signal Person in Your Team Training?

A signal person is essential during lifting operations, helping the operator move the load safely, especially when the operator can’t see everything clearly. In the training, one operator runs the simulator while another joins the virtual jobsite to work as the signal person, using a webcam and picture-in-picture view to give signals and guide the lift to completion.

Embedding the Signal Person in an active simulation increases engagement and motivation, creating an effective environment for learning:

  • Correct signaller positioning
  • Proper load trajectory
  • Clear and accurate hand signal delivery
  • Safe direction of lift operations

Train to Worksite Standards

With the Signal Person Station, crew members build essential worksite skills such as communication and teamwork in a safe and controlled environment.

They move freely around the virtual worksite to inspect the lift area, identify potential hazards, maintain clear sightlines, and deliver accurate hand signals to the crane operator.

*Earthworks: Tracked Excavator and Wheeled Excavator, Backhoe, Boom Truck, and Digger Derrick.

Cranes and Lifting: Crawler Crane, Flat Top Crane, Luffing Tower Crane, Mobile Crane, and Rough Terrain Crane.

Add-on training programs are specific to their corresponding simulation curriculum products. Module exercises are non-transferable to other exercises within the simulation curriculum.

*The Signal Person Station requires Auxiliary hardware.
