The Intellia Rough Terrain Crane Simulation Curriculum is a complete training tool covering the entire lift process, from lift plans to controls familiarization to complex lifts, such as lifting steel structures, working in buildings, and work around power lines. This innovative training pack provides progressive learning for safe lifting operations, improved mobile crane productivity, and real crane operator skills. Operators get safe hands-on exposure to essential operating considerations including load charts, complex lifts, selecting and using different parts of line, and operator certification testing. They’ll learn the fundamentals of safety systems including anti two block outrigger placement, nighttime operations, and more.
It’s also the only simulation solution on the market that provides real exposure to team-based tandem lift training. Developed in response to industry demand, this feature teaches the lead crane operator how to safely and efficiently maneuver a steel pipe load in tandem with a secondary crane operated from another simulator connected to the network. The Mobile Crane Simulator Training Packs’ tandem lift feature can be deployed in multiple configurations with operators working on any combination of CM Labs Simulators, including the motion enabled Vortex Advantage simulator, the desktop Vortex Edge plus simulator, or the Instructor Operating Station.
Collaborative learning can be further extended with CM Lab’s optional SignalPerson Training Station. The SignalPerson Training Station allows a trainee to guide the operation within a challenging virtual job site that includes power lines and job site personnel.
The new mobile crane training pack also allows trainers to evaluate operator competency with a new mobile crane skills assessment exercise. This comprehensive evaluation exercise provides a safe objective tool for employers to assess crane operator skills. It includes advanced lifting techniques such as performing a blind lift, recovering from a load pendulum, girder lifts, and more.
Throughout training, this training pack provides clear performance snapshots of trainee development, including accurate machine efficiency and safety metrics. These metrics are rolled up in a single score that updates in real time. Organizations can customize this scoring system to take their most important operating criteria into consideration.
